Coronavirus has had a significant impact on numerous industries – the wedding industry has taken one of the hardest hits. Couples have been forced to re-think and brainstorm lockdown wedding ideas to suit new restrictions and budgets.
Many couples have sadly had to postpone their wedding, and those who are choosing to go ahead now must abide by new rules on the number of guests allowed. Traditional wedding photography packages don’t cater well to what will now be much smaller and more intimate weddings. Therefore, I’ve chosen to create a ‘Lockdown Wedding Package’ which caters specifically for the small ceremonies going ahead over the coming months.
For friends and family, I’ve also got a few lovely ideas for lockdown wedding gifts. It’s hard for our brides and grooms when what would have been their wedding day is approaching, so it’s nice to gift something a little special to show you’re thinking of them.
Lockdown Wedding Package
Due to the financial impact of Covid-19, many couples are now in a situation where it’s difficult to find a professional wedding photographer that’s within their budget. As a result, many couples are choosing budget or amateur wedding photographers who lack experience or don’t offer the style they originally wanted. In worst-case scenarios, couples are relying on the most important moments of their day to be captured by family and friends.
As a kind gesture to couples in this tricky situation, I have created a NEW temporary ‘Lockdown Wedding Package’ for £700.
This package will be available to couples who are choosing to go ahead with a ‘lockdown wedding’ during the following months, with the new restrictions in place:
- October 2020
- November 2020
- December 2020
- January 2021
- February 2021
- March 2021
Weddings will be much smaller during this time, so the wedding photography will need to adapt to suit this more intimate wedding setting. Therefore, my Lockdown Wedding Photography Package includes less shooting time in comparison to my standard packages. However, I’ll still capture the most important moments of the day.
The details of my Lockdown Wedding Photography Package
- 3-4 hours on location (+ editing time post-wedding)
- 250 photos
- I’ll arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony so I can capture the arrival of the guests and the groomsmen at the altar.
- After the ceremony and drinks reception, I’ll snap some fun photos of your bridal party followed by any family photos you require.
- We’ll then travel to our couple shoot destination which you can choose ahead of the day. There may be an excellent area within the venue grounds for this as well. This time allows me to shoot some beautiful couple portraits, with an editorial approach.
- Once all your photographs are edited, I’ll provide you with the link to your online wedding album where you’ll be able to download your hi-resolution images. Delivering photos online allows me to reduce the carbon footprint of my business.
- All three services here at GMG Creative are ethical, vegan and charitable throughout. I donate 5% of monthly profits to charity. Therefore, by booking with me, you can do your bit to help make a positive impact.

Extra Time:
In case you’d like me to arrive an hour earlier or stay an extra hour, then it will be £50 per additional hour.
If you require FULL coverage from the bride getting ready until the first dance, then you can request the pricing for my standard packages.
Additional Fees:
As with all my wedding photography, an additional mileage fee may apply if I need to travel more than 30 miles from either base in Belfast or Surrey.

All being well, I’ll arrange a telephone consultation with you to discuss your day in more detail and request a non-refundable deposit to secure the booking.
I usually ask for a 50% deposit, but for this package, I’ll only ask for £200. The remaining £500 will be due two weeks before your wedding date.
Please note, I can’t provisionally hold dates. I can’t confirm your booking until I’ve received both your completed booking form and your booking fee.
